Growing Fat?

We bought a Tanita Digital Weighing Kitchen Scale with a range till 5kg over the weekend from OG at S$48. It has been very useful for measuring Scallop's food intake as compared to our old analogue model. His feeding routine is currently fixed at 30g Kibbles at 6am, 30g at 5pm and 20g at 10pm for a total intake of 80g. That's excluding the supplements, treats, etc...

Why 80g? Well, when Scallop was at the Vet, he had his weight taken and we got to know that he's 1.7+kg. That's when he's 6 weeks 4 days old. According to the recommended feeding guide at the back of the Fish4Dogs packaging, puppies 3-11 weeks old weighing 1-3kg are recommended 55-132g of kibbles. Since his age and weight falls somewhere in between the range given, we decided on 80g which is also an in-between figure.

I decided to try weighing him today at 1 day short of 8 weeks old and compare his weight according to this site : http://britmorschnauzers.com/size.html.
Verdict - 2kilograms (4.4lb.)

According to the site, "Eight-week weights in our kennel seem to have been the most consistent of all, blah blah blah... Ultimately correct-sized puppies ranged in all but very few cases between 4 lb. and 5 lb., with the exceptions being close to 4 lb. and very little over 5 lb. All oversized dogs weighed between 5 lb. and 6 lb. at 8 weeks."
Urm... so I figure he's within the correct weight range then? And we were just thinking he seems to be getting fatter... He certainly look like an obese pup though! Haha!

Anyway, Scallop, you are being watched!
