Scallop finally woke up @ abt 9pm last night. The kitchen lights were out and only 1 source of light on from the toilet. I was observing him from the living room and he was SO, SO, SO independent! Went straight to pee tray to pee, went off to play (chew) with his toys, cloth, crate (ok, so the crate is not actually his), etc all by himself! No noise at all, just very productive (imo) playtime. After a while he then went back to another spot of the pee tray to putput! Yeah! So so smart! He drank water and even stepped into the crate physically by himself, etc, perfect behaviour! Even after I interrupted his solitary schedule by cleaning his parts and paws and walked off, there was no whining. Just carried on playing and finally lie back down and promptly dozed off an hour later. We were so touched...
We went to bed at 11pm, way earlier than my usual schedule. According to wife, who's very sensitive to noises, Scallop was quiet till abt 3am. I woke up to check on him and he was whining softly. Decided to just ignore him. He stopped after awhile, but abt 4+am, started once again. This time louder... The next round was at about 5am and I decided to go pay him a visit at 5.30am.
Scallop wasn't quite as normal in the morning though. After I wiped him down, fed him and let him peed (again on the pee tray), he started whining whenever I leave his playpen. He even threw up most of his breakfast an hour later... not sure it's cos of a change of diet or he's sensitive. Also noticed he's started scratching. Actually the morning before, he threw up his breakfast too, but it wasn't as much and I believed it was mainly my fault cos sayang his body too hard and fast after his meal. Yesterday's breakfast was still a mixture of old (Science Diet) and new (fish4dogs) kibbles, but this morning I switched to solely the new food. Hopefully it's nothing serious...
