1st night + Pee Pad

1st night was terrible, Scallop finally went to sleep peacefully close to midnight alone in the kitchen with the lights on (after finally pass motion). Didn't locked him in the crate so that he'll be able to relieve himself without supervision (he was trained to pee on newspapers by the breeder). Who knows he will wake up every single hour after he peed and whine and howled so darn loudly... Initially was thinking of ignoring but the cries were really too loud and fearing he may disturb the neighbours, I went to calm him down each time (mistake, I know). Finally I simply slept next to the kitchen entrance. Tot it's a better idea as compared to being next to him all the time. At least there's a certain distance and yet he can see me.
That's my makeshift bed :

In the morning, after feeding and ensuring he pang sai, played a while using a cloth to cover his head. Use this trick to escape from the house for work, but by the time I reached home, whole floor was wet with pee since the newspapers can't soak fast enough and his paw prints decorations were everywhere, that's when we decided to get a pee tray when we get our dinner at Compass Point.

Surprisingly, after introducing him to the tray by encouraging him to go up by himself, he peed at the correct spot! Bravo! Problem is, he shit in a totally different place on the floor.....

Scallop was better behaved today. Not sure if it's cos of the kennel cough or the crate training or YES933 or the warm bottle I prepared (placed in a sock). Hopefully the 2nd night will be a better experience. Problem is he's been sleeping for awhile now, what if he wakes up later full of energy?!
