Exactly one month ago (5th November 2010) at approximately the same timing (1430hrs) was the first time we met Scallop in Yishun at the void deck of his mama's place. He was lethargic that day as he had his 1st vaccination that morning.
One month later, it was time for his 2nd needle. We brought him to Animal Recovery Veterinary Centre at Balestier for his 10.30am appointment. Scallop was attended by Dr Lim Ziyuan this time around together with no less than 3 other young mei mei nurses. Including the Doc, he had the full attention of 4 females! What a lucky pup!
Tipping the scales at 2.68kg, he seems to be growing nicely. His jab went along smoothly as was the tiny deworm tablet, and Dr Lim was kind enough to teach us how to properly clean his ears after commenting that he's suffering from a mild case of ear infection. We were quite shocked when she pushed in the cotton bud right into his ears! Apparently, all our efforts at cleaning his ears (with cotton wool wrapped around the 1st finger and poking into his ear canal) were barely touching the surface... Was prescribed with Panalog Ointment for his ears after cleaning.
Scallop was also diagnosed with mild skin fungus when we told the Doc of his frequent biting and scratching of his knee and elbow areas resulting in skin flakes. Was prescribed with Dezor / Nizoral Cream for the affected skin areas.
Following up on his kennel cough, Dr Lim believed Scallop's air tract is easily irritated, so prescribed Serrazyme Tablets to help sooth his air pipe.
Otherwise, his general well-being and teeth are fine.
Hopefully, he'll recover from everything and get to enjoy living the life of a 100% healthy dog soon.
Total cost @ ARC - S$146 (exactly the same amount as the 1st consultation!!!)
