Scense Mini Washing Machine

Poor me has been washing Scallop's : 'bedsheet', play towel, play socks, bathing towel, drying towel, mouth wet and dry towels, etc everyday and as a result of the chemicals, the skin from the tip of moi fingers have started to peel. It was especially bad today when I discovered that my right index finger was hurting with a minor injury that look like a cut from a pen knife. Geez, my flesh is rotting!

As such, decided to search for a mini washing machine instead to get the job done. Managed to find some used sets with price ranging from S$50 - S$70. In the end, settled for a "brand new, only used once to test" set from ebay sg for S$69.90. Self collected on the same night from Bukit Panjang.

Box wasn't in that great a condition :

Decided to install it next to main washing machine :

Eye + Ear Cleaners & Hateful Leash

Whilst waiting for wife, had an hour to spare in AMK, so dropped by AMK's Big Mac Centre PLC intending to get another bottle of ear cleaner as the current bottle at home is running low.
In the end, also bought a bottle of eye cleaner as well as a Rogz leash.

Hery Bio Eye Cleaner - S$17
Hery Bio Ear Cleaner - S$17
(Above is some French brand)
Rogz Fancy Dress Fixed Lead - Scooter (M) Rbones/Red - S$14.13

The same night, tried the leash on Scallop and he was so, so pathetic... struggling really hard whenever he can against the leash and had his feet firmly planted and refusing to move a single inch. Poor Scallop... :(

Apple Cider Vinegar + Dental Treats

Was at Parkway Parade yesterday morning and dropped by GNC to buy Scallop a bottle of Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (S$10.70). Had wanted to get Flaxseed Oil as well, but the price held us back. Need to read up a little more abt the benefits before committing.

Scallop was starting to get irritated of the twice daily routine of having a tooth brush stuck into his mouth, so we thought of reducing that to once a day in the night and to give him a dental treat in the morning. Dropped by PLC and got him a packet (S$5.50) which is the same brand as the toothpaste he's using.

2nd Vaccination

Exactly one month ago (5th November 2010) at approximately the same timing (1430hrs) was the first time we met Scallop in Yishun at the void deck of his mama's place. He was lethargic that day as he had his 1st vaccination that morning.

One month later, it was time for his 2nd needle. We brought him to Animal Recovery Veterinary Centre at Balestier for his 10.30am appointment. Scallop was attended by Dr Lim Ziyuan this time around together with no less than 3 other young mei mei nurses. Including the Doc, he had the full attention of 4 females! What a lucky pup!

Tipping the scales at 2.68kg, he seems to be growing nicely. His jab went along smoothly as was the tiny deworm tablet, and Dr Lim was kind enough to teach us how to properly clean his ears after commenting that he's suffering from a mild case of ear infection. We were quite shocked when she pushed in the cotton bud right into his ears! Apparently, all our efforts at cleaning his ears (with cotton wool wrapped around the 1st finger and poking into his ear canal) were barely touching the surface... Was prescribed with Panalog Ointment for his ears after cleaning.

Scallop was also diagnosed with mild skin fungus when we told the Doc of his frequent biting and scratching of his knee and elbow areas resulting in skin flakes. Was prescribed with Dezor / Nizoral Cream for the affected skin areas.

Following up on his kennel cough, Dr Lim believed Scallop's air tract is easily irritated, so prescribed Serrazyme Tablets to help sooth his air pipe.

Otherwise, his general well-being and teeth are fine.
Hopefully, he'll recover from everything and get to enjoy living the life of a 100% healthy dog soon.

Total cost @ ARC - S$146 (exactly the same amount as the 1st consultation!!!)

Scallop & Mop

Saturday is thorough mopping day. The mop has never failed to excite Scallop every single time it make it's appearance. Initially we tried to mop with Scallop roaming free but realised that there's no way the job can be done with him perpetually chasing after the mop and sliding and falling all the time.

Here are a couple of clips of Scallop last Saturday trying his paws at figure skating :

These days, he dun seem to like Mr Mop as much though... cos Scallop gets confined in his crate everytime Mr Mop appear... Haha!

Scallop's New Found Rabbit Den

Was napping in the living room last night after feeding Scallop's supper when suddenly heard him making some noises, got up and was looking everywhere for him but he was nowhere to be found... Then heard some noises in the dining area. Wa piang eh! Dunno how he managed to disappear into that enclosed area sia... Days before his arrival we had already reconfigured the dining table and benches so that there'll not be any space in there but yet...

Wife also woke up from her sleep and we observed Scallop's new found playground where he can enjoy being a rabbit... What a dog...

All these 'burrowing' came about since he started experimenting in the kitchen with the suspended cabinets almost a week before; and the following happened on the 28th Nov 2010, Sunday :

So much space for him to run about he dun wan... die die must follow his imaginary tunnel to reach his ping pong ball... faintz...
